I've wasted 2 years and I don't even know how much money on this company.

It is a complete scam, if anyone here thinks they can make money from selling scentsy you are mistaken! Even the directors. Don't believe anyone who claims to make big money off this company because they are either lying or cheating the system. And trust me, there are lots of cheaters out there, who make it just that much harder for those who are actually working at it.

After building up my team (my pyramid)and working my butt off there wasn't much more I could do. I stalled. Everyone sold scentsy, its become saturated with consultants. So I had a few bad months and they stripped away whole team and wrongly took my title as well. I fought them tooth and nail and after taking to the highest up person I could possible get on the phone, they told me yes THEY were wrong and I was RIGHT, but they still wouldn't do anything about it. All they could do was change their wording in their policies so it wouldn't happen again.

Today was the last straw when I noticed less than 3 months of an order being entered, they removed it along with all the hostess rewards I rightfully earned. I tried calling the support line but they close so stupidly early I couldn't get to them and now tomorrow it will be too late.

All they care about is money. Heidi and Orville want you to believe they care about their consultants but they couldn't care less. If they did they wouldn't make it so hard on us.

Monetary Loss: $1000.

so wrong

If you only lost $1000 in 2 years, that is poor money management, not a scam.

You would be smart to contact an attorney.

I became a consultant just to buy stuff for myself and gifts for my family and have been very happy with the company, OMG I love everything I buy and my family looks forward to gifts, The bathroom cleaner is the bomb, I will be trying the pet shampoo for the first time when I receive it this Friday, I have a wax warmer in every room in my house, even the bathroom and some are on 24/7 , the ones in the bedroom are turned off at night, the lightbulbs literally last forever, even in the mini warmers! Im just not a sales person or even have the time to be a sells person but honestly, I have no problem at all buying 200 bucks worth of scentsly products once every 4 months, , I don't find the warmers boring at all, in fact, when I move and have more space, I want to buy different once so I can switch them out lol and OMG the skin care is incredible!

and when I move, first thing im gonna do is use a bath bomb, where I live now, we only have a stand up shower *pooh* the waxes are great, some last longer then others, I tend to prefer the ones that last longer so I always make a note of which ones do so I can keep buying those and I am totally looking forward to Christmas scents, my favs remind me of the holidays as a kid! totally a feel good moment for me! but anyway, the company is great and I have not noticed in any way shape or form how they could possibly be ripping anyone off?

as for the pyramid thing? well every job/business is a pyramid, you always have ppl above you that make more money and always have someone below you that is just starting out DUH now if a pyramid is not moving a "product" and just taking everyone's money then that would be illegal , just sayn

You clearly have no clue a what pyramid scheme actually is. And you clearly didn't become a consultant to buy stuff for yourself or gifts. That's as intelligent as saying "I got a job at walmart so i could buy stuff for myself and gifts for my family" W O W hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahaha

That is exactly why I joined up. To buy stuff for myself and my family. If my neighbor happens to buy stuff from me all the better.

Not true. I became a scentsy consultant just so I could get a tinyyyyy bitty bit of a discount and be able to afford more for myself and my family because..

well, Iโ€™m totally addicted to anything โ€œsmelly goodโ€ lol, Iโ€™m not a consultant anymore.. but when I was I didnโ€™t sell or advertise... I just ordered what my fam and I wanted and when I couldnโ€™t afford it anymore.. I left.

So, people do actually join for that reason alone.. actually, about 7 outta 10 consultants I talk to have told me thatโ€™s the main reason why they joined at all. Just sayin... we shouldnโ€™t judge others, assume and accuse them of lying just because it doesnโ€™t make sense to you and the way you live your life.

Everyone is different...that doesnโ€™t mean ppl need to treat those who are โ€œdifferentโ€ from them like complete crap and weigh in with their unasked for and completely unnecessary and cruel comments that are based solely on their opinions that hold no weight or truth, not that they or anyone else know of. To me, thatโ€™s just going out of your way to bully someone just because youโ€™re unhappy, in general, and especially are unhappy with your experience and want to ruin theirs too? Or something along those lines.. ?

Idk, I donโ€™t understand why people are so cruel and actually spend a lot of time and energy to go out of their way just to be cruel to others.. whether it be friends and family or.. random strangers on the internet.. I guess strangers online are easier to use as scapegoats plus you get to hide behind your computer screens.

Wtf is wrong with ppl, itโ€™s just... Sad.. really really sad and sickening.. itโ€™s not difficult to be nice and treat others with respect and kindness and heaven forbid, compassion!

Itโ€™s only difficult to be kind if you make it that way.. which only makes things more miserable for you too cuz nobody will wanna be around you anymore.. nobody wants to be treated badly! so I really donโ€™t understand why anyone would want that..

why anyone would WANT to actively seek out ppl to be absolutely cruel to them for no damn reason... psh... people make me SICK. :( is there ANY hope for humanity?!

I truly donโ€™t know anymore.

Oh and, to those whoโ€™ve been attacked on here, or anywhere for that matter, Iโ€™m sorry.. Iโ€™m sorry these people feel the need to be so unnecessarily cruel, you didnโ€™t/donโ€™t deserve that!

"well every job/business is a pyramid, you always have ppl above you that make more money and always have someone below you that is just starting out DUH" Sorry, but with real jobs you're not recruiting a downline. The people above you earning more in the organization have different responsibilities and duties.

Hiring is based on qualification and experience. Compensation plans built on building a downline are unsustainable given a finite population. Not to mention, real jobs offer insurance, PTO, and a guaranteed income.

Looking at Scentsy's income disclosure, the vast majority of consultants gross far less than working a part time minimum wage job. With expenses many lose money.

This post is complete crap. I have been with Scentsy as an independent consultant since 2010.

If they didn't care about their consultants, i wouldn't be here. If i didnt make money, i wouldn't be here. People love the products and i literally just received a personal facebook message from one of the Chief Officers of the company (at home office in Idaho, across half the US from me) about a concern I had. Of course you can't use host rewards 3 months later, you have to use them when you close the party.

That's made very clear when you host OR join. This company has been nothing but good to me. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I feel like perhaps your upline didnt train you or go through the ropes with you, in which case that does suck.

But i have called consultant support AND customer service (i have been both customer and consultant) and they have been nothing short of awesome. The "short" hours you talk about? So....regular business hours? Do you also bash your bank because they aren't available 24/7 in person to you?

Just curious. Also curious how long you were officially a consultant and how many times you actually took the time to contact your upline. Nothing works unless you work it honey. Put in the time and effort or you aren't getting anything back.

(And for those curious, not a high level consultant, not at all employed personally by Scentsy. I am my own boss.)

I donโ€™t have anything against Scentsy, itโ€™s one of the very few MLM products I would buy. So I donโ€™t have a dog in this fight when I tell you that you are making the entire company look bad when you are aggressive and insulting online. If you divulge you work for a company (I know, youโ€™re a business owner, whatever), you then effectively represent that company.

"If I didn't make money, I wouldn't be here" How much money do you actually make a month? To make $1,900 a month, You have to sell a minimum of $9,500.

And that is only 23k a year if you manage to actually hit that every month. And to hit that every month, how many hours do actually put in beyond the 40 of the average work week?

I'm so sorry that you had a bad experience. I'm guess you didn't have good leadership.

I've been with Scentsy for 3 years and actually make money every single month.

What I actually love about Scentsy that is much different from most direct sales companies.... although I have a team of 5, I still have to meet my personal goals before I get any benefit from my teams work.
